We are looking for a Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer. We are looking for a contractor with at least +7 years client-facing Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer.
EU candidates are welcome to apply. Candidates need to be based in Vienna or willing to relocate to Vienna.
Work permit is not provided. Candidates need to be fluent in English.
Tasks and responsibilities:
* Integrate component subsystems of custom applications into a whole and ensure that those subsystems function together;
* Design, build, and maintain platforms and websites around the management of deployments and installations (virtual community, GoSupport, Confluence, Jira, others);
* Assist in the preparation of documents and materials to be published including on information security;
* Assist in defining standards, policies and procedures for the deployment and operation of software infrastructure;
* Assist with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports for information sharing, responding to queries, knowledge management, planning and decision making;
* Assist with visualizations and updating information material;
* Handle client complaints or major incidents effectively. Investigate and solve clients' problems and bring to the attention of the Support Team. Keep accurate records of discussions and correspondence with customers using SPMS project management tools;
* Contribute to the collection and analysis of data as well as identification of trends or patterns and provide draft insights through graphs, charts, tables and reports using data visualization methods for data-driven planning, decision-making, presentation and reporting;
* Proactively keep all channels of communication with clients open;
Profile:
* Bachelor or Master degree;
* +7 years of progressively responsible experience in the integrating and maintaining software solutions, databases and computer information systems in a Microsoft Windows environment is required;
* Extensive knowledge and experience of IT infrastructure and infrastructure requirements is required;
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (from an administration, deployment, setup, infrastructure perspective mostly, but also running scripts, configuration, logs etc.);
* Windows IIS application management
* Knowledge and experience using PowerShell is desirable;
* Knowledge and Experience with security components and IT security is desirable;
* Experience in establishing infrastructure architecture is desirable;
* Knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps and open source DevOps solutions is desirable;
* Hands on Experience administering Jira and confluence infrastructure is desirable;
* Experience in data analytics or related areas is desirable;
* Fluent in English;
