About the roleAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS general infrastructure. Data Center Technicians are the primary resolver and troubleshoot data center infrastructure issues such as hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems.Key responsibilitiesEngage in physical data center activities such as planning and tracking capacity, rack deployment, rack cabling, hardware and software troubleshooting, and rack decommissioning.Lift and move material up to 49 pounds, work in cramped or elevated locations, bend, lift, stretch, and reach, stand and walk for extended periods, ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely, work in a noisy environment, and work shifts longer than eight hours, including nights, days, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.Take ownership of technical issues, engage other teams when needed, solve problems at their root, maintain service level agreements, act in the absence of direction, and improve effectiveness through process innovation.QualificationsHigh‑school diploma or equivalent, or certification such as A+, CND, Network+, or Security+.Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with polygraph.Hands‑on experience with hardware platforms (e.G., Dell, HP).Networking experience with CCNA and/or Network+ certifications.Experience working in a Data Center environment (racking & stacking, cable management, hot & cold aisle containment).Associate’s degree in an IT‑related field plus at least two years of progressively responsible experience (preferred).Work environmentThe role involves physical demands such as lifting up to 49 lbs, working in confined spaces, standing or walking for up to 8+ hours, and operating shifts that cover 24/7 operations, including nights, days, weekends, and holidays.EEO StatementAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.#J-18808-Ljbffr
