Our client is a rapidly scaling software company transforming the retail sector through innovative technology solutions. Our platform helps retailers optimize operations, enhance customer experiences, and drive revenue growth. With a strong presence in multiple markets and ambitious expansion plans, we are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join their team. The role will be based in Barcelona and working on a national level across Spain.

Role OverviewAs a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and closing deals with retail clients. You will be responsible for building a strong sales pipeline, developing strategic relationships, and contributing directly to revenue targets.

Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, target, and engage prospective clients within the retail sectorGenerate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, and partnershipsManage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing dealsBuild and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leadsConduct product presentations and tailor solutions to client needsNegotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize revenueCollaborate with marketing and product teams to refine value propositionsTrack and report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and forecastsStay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity

Requirements2–5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role (preferably in SaaS or retail tech)Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targetsStrong communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsExperience managing the full sales cycleSelf-starter with a proactive and results-driven mindsetAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentNative-level of Spanish is strongly preferred, Catalan is a strong plus and fluency in English is required. xiphtebBased in or willing to relocate to Barcelona
