ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products has launched a multi-year plan to phase out the mainframes and modernize the MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), deploying the market solution MES PSIMetals across several plants in Europe. We are looking for an IT Functional Architect Material Management to join our IT central teams.
What does the job entail?
* Define the strategy for configuring the material management of PSIMetals, setting it up as a template for FE-Mills. The scope includes all events in the material lifecycle, from PO (Production Order) to shipment readiness, based on the Scale-Up project work and the common language for Flat Europe.
* Support the initial implementation of Material Management by PSI at the Mardyck Electrical Mill as a learning path, and contribute to developing the FE Flat Europe template, extending to Mardyck legacy lines and other sites in France North.
* Ensure adoption and safeguard the template from deviations, advising sites and maintaining consistency with the FE common language prepared by CTO experts.
* In later phases, extend support to other clusters in Flat Europe and Longs Europe, collaborating closely with the Supply Chain Concerto project for system integration.
* Work within the "CoE MES PSIMetals" team, alongside internal experts and PSI support, within the FE D&IT Quality / Manufacturing organization.
* Coordinate horizontally with mills, PSI, ArcelorMittal Digital Consulting, and interact with CTO technical experts.
* Location: Regular trips to mills (2-4 days/month); tasks are largely remote, following a virtual team approach.
Who are we looking for?
* Master's degree in engineering or experience in Quality & Product expert systems.
* Strong process and IT systems mindset.
* Knowledge of material management concepts (traceability, production registration, interactions with scheduling and quality tools).
* Ability to translate business needs into rule concepts.
* Good communication skills to train end users and promote autonomy.
* User-oriented with team spirit, analytical skills, empathy, and ability to propose process improvements.
* Capability to synthesize complex situations for management decision-making.
* Adaptability in discussions with quality and product experts.
* Experience managing transversally in remote teams and with external partners.
* Knowledge of French, Spanish, or German is a plus for communication with mills.
* Self-motivated, responsible, service-oriented, proactive, innovative, curious, and bold.
* Willing to work in a multicultural, fast-paced, collaborative environment with growth opportunities.
With a competitive salary package.
