In this role, you lead the Systems Assurance scope across large railway programmes, guiding the full lifecycle from requirements to verification. You act as the assurance authority, coordinating interfaces with design, RAMS, and Vu0026amp;V teams to ensure safety, traceability and compliance. You will implement a structured assurance framework for complex railway systems aligned with international standards. • Lead the Systems Assurance framework across the programme
• Define and manage the Systems Assurance Plan and processes
• Oversee Requirements Management (RTM, traceability, configuration control)
• Establish and coordinate Interface Management (IRs, agreements, resolution)
• Integrate RAMS activities within requirements, design and verification
• Implement and manage IBM DOORS Next Generation as central requirements tool
• Ensure traceability between requirements, interfaces, hazards, tests, and verification evidence
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (design, system integration, RAMS, Vu0026V)
• Ensure compliance with standards and project-specific requirements
• Lead assurance reviews, audits and validation of engineering deliverables
• Manage risks related to requirements completeness, interface definition, and system integration
• Coordinate with client, contractors and stakeholders
• Support testing and commissioning with full traceability to requirements
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary Systems Assurance teams
Responsabilidades
• Degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Electrical, Systems Engineering or equivalent)
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent (preferred)
• Membership of recognised professional body (e.g. IET, IEEE)
• Continuous professional development in Systems Assurance / railway systems
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Systems Assurance, Systems Engineering or RAMS
• Proven delivery of large-scale infrastructure or railway projects with xpzdshu multidisciplinary interfaces
• Experience across full lifecycle: requirements, design, integration, testing and commissioning
• Experience in Requirements Management, Interface Management and RAMS integration
• Experience using DOORS / DOORS Next Generation
• Participation in complex programmes with high system integration requirements
• Knowledge of railway standards (EN50126/50128/50129 preferred)
