**What You are Accountable For?**
The Lubrizol corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Global Product Manager who will support our Beauty and Home businesses within Lubrizol’s Life Sciences portfolio. As a Global Product Manager, you are accountable for the profitability and growth of our Active Ingredients including Peptides and Fermented Life Sciences global product lines. You will create and implement the overall product line strategy to guide future developments and ensure the continued growth and financial performance of your product lines.
**Essential Job Functions**
- Develop global product line strategy that maintains alignment with the business unit, market and technology strategies
- Considering raw material inputs and availability, provide guidance for product line positioning and pricing
- Manage product portfolio and life cycle to maximize growth and financial performance of the product lines
- Support development of annual product line forecast and drive global capacity planning
- Ensure product line’s project portfolio and innovation strategy is properly resourced while establishing agreed upon deliverables
- Develop competitive intelligence programs and the corresponding counter strategies to maintain value, identify key products and focus areas for further value creation in the marketplace
- Champion the product line and proactively communicate plans and programs to cross functional teams, globally
- Provide support for current business, global bids, and new product launches
- Align business needs with operations and supply chain to prioritize and maximize service capabilities to customers while identifying ways to minimize overall cost position and risk for obsolescence. This includes the business strategy for toll vs. make considering business continuity planning and financial performance.
- Consider and recommend opportunities to grow volume, products, and technology using strategic external partnerships
**Skills, Qualifications, Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, chemistry or engineering preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of prior integral product management and a minimum of 7 years combined experience between operations, product management, and technical
- Demonstrated strategy development with global execution using business acumen and quantitative analysis, as shown through exceptional financial results
- Proven ability to successfully lead cross functional teams through uncertainty
- This is a hybrid position consisting of a minimum of 3 days per week at our global headquarters in Brecksville, OH or alternatively at our business/manufacturing location in Barcelona, Spain. Some international travel is required (10-15%).
- Excellent business fluency in English is required, ability to also speak Spanish is preferred
