DescriptionYour Role We are looking for a temporary New Product Development & Formulation Support to join our Research & Development team. In this role, you will be involved in the whole cycle of the product (definition, development, launch, maintenance and optimization), collaborating and coordinating the work of several areas of the company (operations, marketing, sales, finance, etc…) while being responsible of critical technical activities for the product development and formulation. What will you do?
Project Management
Efficient management of projects at NPD level, adhering to milestones, costs objectives & performance targets.
Effective communication of progress & challenges to key stakeholders
Cross-functional Collaboration
Participate in cross-functional teams
Coordinate execution of technical activities across several areas.
Provide technical support to other departments
Innovation
Collaborate in the definition of innovative concepts based on market needs.
Monitor market trends & conduct competitive landscape.
Prototyping
Formulate new product recipes according to target needs.
Coordinate industrial trials to ensure product industrial feasibility
Coordinate product tests to confirm product characteristics
Launch readiness
Define requirements of ingredient volumes and the needs for new ingredients
Define of product specifications and control plan
Define of product labels and revision of artworks
Help Manufacturing to coordinate first productions & solve potential issues
Maintenance & Optimization
Optimize formulas to maximize performance and operational efficiencies
Adapt formulas to operational constraints
Perform new ingredients homologation
Review ingredients nutritional profiles
Identify opportunities for product improvement & efficiencies
What we are looking for
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry or similar field
At least 2 years of experience as product developer, formulator, or similar within the food or pet food industry.
Knowledge in pet nutrition, ingredients and / or food processing is highly valuable
Strong collaborative skills in cross-functional environments are imperative
Excellent organizational & project management skills are highly valuable
Creativity, optimism, problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn are essential
Systematic, methodical & structured
High capacity for data analysis. Advance level of Microsoft Excel
Fluent Professional English is a must
