Modelical: Innovating Construction
Modelical is a team of 50 architects, construction engineers, and software developers working at the intersection of design, construction, and computing. We help digitize, connect, experiment, and ultimately improve our built environment. Our work ranges from stadiums to airports, from design management to the operation and maintenance of the most amazing buildings and infrastructures across three continents. We offer product development and consulting services.
We invest heavily in our team, dedicating 5 hours weekly to training, personal projects, and knowledge transfer. Our expertise includes BIM management, design automation, and technology management.
We are currently looking to expand our team with a Electrical Engineer. Join us in changing the construction world with Modelical!
Your responsibilities:
1. Participate in BIM implementation projects in electrical domain, including:
* Review and redesign processes following BIM methodology.
* Develop electrical asset data models compatible with BIM standards.
* Create smart components and libraries for basic and detailed engineering.
* Evaluate and configure tools; define necessary integrations (not development).
1. Support BIM projects with a strong focus on electrical installation design and coordination, including:
* Design and modeling strategies for electrical installations.
* Coordinate and supervise BIM model development and various design use cases.
* Model complex project parts.
* Automate tasks using Dynamo, Grasshopper, or APIs of different programs, emphasizing agility in Dynamo.
2. Develop and review guidelines and training content based on your expertise.
3. Provide project support to clients and assist in training development.
We are looking for:
* An Electrical Engineer (Industrial Engineer, Technical Industrial Engineer, or equivalent) with experience in electrical projects or assets, preferably substations and transmission networks. Experience in industrial infrastructure or data centers is a plus.
* Ability to work efficiently, think critically, and plan effectively. Quality over quantity; well-managed work reduces revisions.
* Strong abstraction skills to understand and confidently apply concepts without needing detailed explanations.
* Excellent communication skills, knowing when you need help and when you're clear on tasks.
* A willingness to learn beyond work hours, including programming, complex modeling, project management, and languages.
