Head of Digital Product – Robert Walters
Reporting line: Marketing Director
Functions:
- Develop and manage the long‑term product vision for our digital portfolio, backed by a strong product strategy.
- Manage an ongoing Conversion Rate Optimisation programme. Onsite conversion will be one of the main KPIs.
- Act as the main point of contact between the product function and the wider business.
- Recognise the needs of different areas of the business – Sales, Marketing, Legal, Finance – and ensure the needs of these groups are recognised in the product strategy.
- Be data and metric focused, ensuring benefits of deliverables are always measurable and drive clear impact against outcomes.
- Use a range of different insights, from analytics, research, and competitors, to inform decision making and roadmap prioritisation.
- Partner with IT to manage the roadmap and backlog for all digital products, ensuring that IT delivers capabilities on time and to expectation.
- Lead a functional team of digital professionals focused on the delivery of the digital portfolio.
- Ensure a strong, clear, and fluid communication channel with senior stakeholder groups.
- Be comfortable leading workshops with business stakeholders as and when required.
Requirements:
- Several years of experience in a similar position, leading a small team of Product Managers/Owners.
- Demonstrated experience applying product‑management frameworks and techniques for understanding priorities and customer needs.
- Strong analytical, prioritisation, and negotiating skills.
- Experience in usability and customer‑focused design, with the confidence to use a broad range of techniques to understand customer needs and drive product growth strategy.
- Solid experience in a digital environment, with a record of achieving strong outcomes, particularly around lead generation and conversion optimisation.
- Proven experience in driving efficiencies and constructively challenging existing processes.l
- Demonstrable experience delivering CMS efficiencies, including migrations, component libraries, and related initiatives.
- Experience managing multiple websites, with the ability to standardise and apply best practice across platforms.
- Clear ability to build roadmaps that unlock value early and often.
- Passion for building great products to solve customer and business problems, with demonstrable experience taking a product from initial concept to launch and iterative refinement.
- Experience working with and managing senior stakeholders – preferably at Director or C‑level.
- Exceptional communicator able to articulate key concepts in an accessible manner to non‑technical stakeholders, technical teams, and end users.
- Experience running A/B testing programmes.
Desirable skills:
- Experience developing multi‑language platforms.
- Experience working with remote development teams.
- Experience working with Drupal and Salesforce platforms.
