Overview
We are expanding our team of MQTs in Vigo due to the new Recuperator project. The MQT provides technical and documentation support in the industrialization of new products and in current production processes, in order to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the production lines. Supports MQEs and PLs in adjusting manufacturing processes and assembly lines, solving or helping to solve quality or assembly line issues.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
* Support the correction and adjustment of current and future production processes and assembly lines.
* Collaborate in quality improvement and provide documentation support to production processes.
* Support the definition of the layout of the production plant.
* Assist in the preparation of reports with the results of testing phases and quality documentation for new products.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement process: scrap reduction, rework reduction, quality issues, cost reduction, etc.
* Support the use of Maintenance Management Tools (Preventive / Predictive).
* Support the development of machine specifications.
* Respect safety and cleanliness standards in the workplace.
* Comply with safety, quality, productivity, hygiene, and environmental protection standards.
* Comply with the organization’s internal rules and regulations: Code of Ethics, Collective Agreement, etc.
* Perform other tasks that support MQEs / PLs.
* Commit to BorgWarner’s Health, Safety & Environmental Policy, its principles and objectives, as well as the continuous improvement of both systems.
* Cooperate with direct supervisors to ensure safe working conditions that do not pose risks to the health and safety of personnel or to the environment.
* Use work equipment, tools, substances, and in general any other means used in the activity appropriately.
* Properly use and do not disable or bypass safety devices installed on equipment related to their activity or in the workplaces where it takes place.
* Correctly use the personal protective equipment and other safety means provided by BorgWarner.
* Immediately report to their direct supervisor or the EHS Department any situation they consider to pose a risk to the health and safety of workers or to the environment.
* Contribute to compliance with the obligations established by BorgWarner in terms of Health, Safety, and Environment, aimed at protecting all workers and our surroundings.
* Cooperate with BorgWarner to ensure safe working conditions that do not pose risks to the health and safety of its employees.
* Ensure, to the best of their ability and by complying with the applicable preventive measures, their own health and safety at work, as well as that of others who may be affected by their professional activity, in accordance with their training and the preventive measures established by Management, integrating prevention into all their tasks.
* Keep their work area clean and organized, when applicable, ensuring that equipment and materials are located in their designated places.
Professional Profile
Education, Experience and Other Skills
* Formal Education – Advanced Vocational Training in a technical-professional area (with experience in similar positions).
* Experience – Preferred: 5 years.
* Languajes – English: minimum B2.
* Information technologies – MS Office Expert Level, SAP User Level, AutoCad Expert Level.
* Knowledge – IT skills, pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, or robotics, knowledge of AutoCAD or design software, problem‑solving methodologies (5 Whys, Ishikawa, PDCA, 8D), quality tools, ISO / TS 16949 standard, Lean Manufacturing tools, knowledge of the automotive industry’s production line environment, English language proficiency, training in occupational risk prevention (safety representative).
