Backend Engineer (Python/Django)

A fast growing fintech scale up is looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to help shape the future of its financial platform. With recent backing from top tier institutional investors and a track record of supporting thousands of businesses worldwide, the company provides fast, solutions that power B2B growth.
You’ll be joining a cross functional, globally distributed engineering team, building out core financial services and infrastructure that directly impact customer experience and business outcomes.
What you'll be doing
* Building and scaling backend services using Python (Django or similar frameworks)
* Designing and maintaining clean, well-structured REST APIs
* Working with relational databases (ideally PostgreSQL) and designing performant schemas
* Writing clean, tested, production ready code
* Collaborating closely with product, data, and design teams to ship new features
* Monitoring application performance and addressing reliability or security concerns
* Participating in code reviews and contributing to architectural discussions
* Supporting continuous improvement across the team
What we're looking for
* 3+ years of backend engineering experience (multiple levels available), ideally with Python/Django
* Deep knowledge of API design, microservices and scalable systems
* Experience working with SQL databases and ORMs
* Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS
* Comfort with Git, testing frameworks (e.g. pytest), and CI/CD workflows
* A strong grasp of security best practices and data protection principles
* An effective communicator (fluent in English), a collaborative team player, and someone who thrives in fast paced, dynamic environments.
Bonus points if you’ve worked in fintech or product led SaaS businesses, but we’re open to strong engineers from all industries.
