Simulation Software Engineer specialized in HMI technologies (H/F)
Job Description:
We are seeking a Simulation Software Engineer to join our Future Combat Simulation team in Getafe. The role involves defining and implementing complex simulation architectures for SIRTAP and FCAS.
SIRTAP aims to significantly advance high-end tactical UAS capabilities. It will support various missions tailored for both institutional and governmental clients, capable of flying in challenging environments, certified for segregated airspace, civil operations, and capable of day/night and maritime ISR missions.
The team operates in an international environment requiring close collaboration with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners in an Agile manner. An Agile mindset is essential.
Responsibilities:
* Design and develop Human Machine Interface software for simulation solutions.
* Derive system requirements from operational needs.
* Design software architecture for new simulator functionalities.
* Perform integration testing.
* Implement software modules (primarily C++).
* Create and execute unit tests for software modules (C++ / Python).
* Develop tools to enhance development processes (e.g., code generators).
Skills:
* Degree (or Master) in Software, Aeronautical, Telecommunication Engineering, or related fields.
* Web technologies, JavaScript (full-stack), HTML, CSS.
* Knowledge of ES6, Web Components, Proxies, JS Async, Workers, HTML Canvas.
* Experience with nodes, ExpressJS, template engines (Pug, Mustache, Dust).
* GIS libraries (Openlayers, Cesium, MapLibre-GPL), GIS servers (Geoserver).
* Frameworks like Electron, WebRTC, ffmpeg, gstreamer, WebGL.
* Experience with standalone applications using Qt, C++, Python.
* Experience in aviation, simulation, or defense industries is a plus.
* Excellent English communication skills.
* Contributions to Open Source projects are welcome (provide GitHub/Bitbucket/Gitlab links).
Related Technologies (mandatory):

Occasional travel within the EU may be required.
