Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team to contribute to the future of engineering as an Application Engineer. Collaborate with customers to address their challenges and seamlessly integrate Ansys software into their workflows using scripting tools, helping to shape the Ansys product roadmap. This role focuses on developing scripting solutions using Python for PyAEDT within the electrical/electronic domain.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Design, develop, implement, and deploy automation workflows using Ansys tools such as PyAnsys/PyAEDT and containerization technologies like Docker.
- Create and distribute enablement content for internal and external use to aid in understanding scripting/automation solutions.
- Engage with customers to identify their business goals, product needs, and workflow requirements, then recommend appropriate Ansys solutions based on these insights.
- Collaborate with Ansys product development teams to refine the product roadmap, assist in testing new releases, and establish best practices.
- Facilitate technical activities during sales opportunities by organizing product presentations, conducting demos, and executing evaluations.
- Work effectively as part of a cross-functional, integral team to ensure collaborative success.
**Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience**:
- PhD or MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. BS with at least 2 years of commercial experience using object-oriented languages like Python. BS+2 or Masters/PhD
- Strong understanding of Python and Python-based UI frameworks.
- Experience with Git version control system for collaborative and organized development.
- Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages.
- Strong organizational and time management skills possess a sense of urgency.
**Preferred Qualifications and Skills**:
- Proven experience with Ansys AEDT software and PyAEDT.
- Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: MS+3, or PhD+0
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
