is a free educational program that places teenagers, aged 12 to 18, at the center of defining their own learning paths, allowing them to expand their knowledge in technology and creativity regardless of their socioeconomic background. Founded in Yerevan, Armenia, in 2011,
TUMO
is now present in 10 countries, including France, Germany, and soon Japan, Netherlands, and the United States.
In 2026, TUMO continues its international expansion with a new center set to open in Bilbao in September. The project is led by
Fundación “la Caixa” , the
Provincial Council of Bizkaia , and the
Bilbao City Council .
Students combine TUMO’s learning objectives (Robotics, Photography, Game Development, Graphic Design, Filmmaking, Programming, Music, and Animation) in their learning plans, continuously adapting them to fit their progress and evolving preferences. Soft skills such as teamwork, initiative, empathy, and effective communication are incorporated into the educational program, together with subject knowledge and technical skills.
There are three learning methods at
TUMO:
Self-Learning, Workshops, and Learning Labs, which take place in person at the
TUMO
centers under the guidance of our pedagogical and mentoring team, with access to our digital platform and all the necessary hardware and software.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As
TUMO
prepares to open a new center in
Bilbao-Bizkaia , we are building a
team of Learning Coaches
across the different learning areas. Learning Coaches will be responsible for supporting students as they progress through TUMO’s self-learning activities, as well as assisting the rest of the staff in managing the TUMO Bilbao-Bizkaia Center. Above all, the Learning Coach role will have the opportunity to inspire and guide young people aged 12 to 18 and share their passion and skills in technology and design.
Based on TUMO’s
established pedagogical model , Learning Coaches will work
directly with
students at the
TUMO Bilbao-Bizkaia
Center to:
Support
students in their self-learning activities, being present in the space to answer questions and help keeping them motivated;
Provide
students with guidance aimed at completing their learning activities;
Monitor
student attendance and provide feedback on student progress, taking steps to motivate and inspire the most reluctant students;
Provide
support during workshops led by experts in various fields;
Ensure
the candidate registration process at the center, answering questions from students and visitors and supervising the enrollment processes;
Supervise
student check-in/check-out and card access processes;
Provide
support in other duties assigned by the Head of Student Experience or the Center Director. xpzdshu
What you bring:
dynamic, creative, tech-savvy individuals who are, above all, passionate about the education sector and eager to be part of a challenging, innovative project that makes a significant impact on our youth.
Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with young people;
Technological proficiency and ease in using online resources and tools;
Excellent communication skills, including written communication, interpersonal interaction, and public speaking;
Ability to enter data and maintain a database, with attention to detail;
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Fluency in English and
Euskera , both written and spoken ( mandatory );
Experience in the field of education or working with young people (a plus);
Availability to work on-site, part-time, in a youthful, fast-paced, and multidisciplinary environment;

In-Loco Part-Time Position : Work on-site at the dynamic TUMO center in Bilbao located in the wonderful Azkuna Zentroa Building;
Schedule : The Learning Coaches team works part-time in shifts for 10 months of the year (September to June), with expected school breaks at Christmas and Easter
