Business Unit Manager – Brussels

As a Coach Business Manager, you will be responsible for the development and the growth of your own business unit, finding out new business opportunities and challenges. As a strategic thought-partner you will report to the Division Director of ALTEN Belgium.


You will be a hands-on manager, leading and developing your local team of business managers to support the following areas: further business growth, development of new local offerings, key account management, further transformation towards consultative selling, and involvement in the global sales strategy of the division.


Your objectives:

• Organizing the Business Development strategy.

• Developing and executing a business plan.

• Hunting for new business from current and potential customers.

• Matching ALTEN solutions with potential client challenges and needs.

• Managing your customer portfolio to ensure recurring business.

• Coaching and empowering your team of Business Managers.

• Cherishing excellent employee experience. • Collaboration with the experts in recruitment on hiring new talents.

• Leading your growing group of consultants.


The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the engineering field and solutions, in areas such as financial services, aerospace, defense, transport or any other engineering field.


It is required to have the entrepreneurial ambition and the right hard skills to continue growing the business unit, adding valuable projects that will create a strong footprint in the Belgian market. We are looking for someone with a hunter profile to seek new opportunities.


A strategical-analytical mindset and very high soft skills to maintain high level internal and external relationships give you the confidence to work in a fast paced and international environment.


Your qualifications:

• 4+years’ relevant experience of key account management, sales, business strategies in consultancy.

• You are fluent in and English.

• You are a true people leader with a strong business-oriented mindset. • Experience working autonomously in a highly matrixed environment, being result oriented and having an analytical mindset.

• Adaptability with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities.

• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills and to influence senior leaders and build influential networks across the organization.
