The Maintenance Technician carries out maintenance and repair work on electrical and mechanical installations or equipment (e.g., production machinery, rotating equipment, electrical installations, transport systems, buildings, facilities and constructions).
The goal is to ensure technical assignments are completed on time, safely and according to specifications to support optimum production operation.
Machine & equipment maintenance is performed within the production/technical department, with a focus on preventive and corrective maintenance.
The main purpose is to prevent any malfunction of the equipment, apparatus, machinery or systems used in the production process.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician at Trouw Nutrition, you will play a key role in ensuring the optimal functioning of our production and facility equipment.
You will be responsible for executing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and/or electrical installations, including production machinery, transport systems, and utilities.
Responsibilities
Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on a wide range of equipment including grinding, mixing, pressing lines, and weighbridges.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
Execute modifications and improvements to equipment and systems, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and support continuous improvement of equipment reliability.
Collaborate with internal teams and external technicians during complex maintenance or shutdowns.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance within a production or technical environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to assess and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and maintenance management systems.
Ability to read technical drawings and perform tasks such as welding, machining, and component fabrication.
Commitment to safety standards and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LoTo) and work permits.
