Currently, the resort is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to join its esteemed culinary team, further enhancing its commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the property’s culinary operations, ensuring the kitchen is operating smoothly and the food quality exceeds customer’s expectations
2. Ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency to maintain their reputation for culinary excellence
3. Create and develop menus to reflect the restaurant concepts
4. Hire, train, and mentor a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff to achieve high standards of culinary skill and teamwork
5. Ensure that the kitchen is staffed appropriately
6. Oversee cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment to ensure compliance with legislation
7. Manage cost controls, forecasting and inventory management
8. Review financial targets to ensure they are being met or exceeded
Executive Sous Chef Qualifications:
9. European culinary experience, with knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine
10. Must have 5-star resort background
11. Island and Caribbean experience are a big advantage
12. Ability to lead others and hold your own in a fast-paced environment
13. A well-rounded and creative culinary professional who can support and inspire team members
14. Detail orientated professional with excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills. Comfortable talking directly with guests
