About The Role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager - Sustainable Packaging to help leading consumer, food, and industrial brands transition to environmentally responsible packaging. Based in the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Poland, France, or the Netherlands, you will drive new business across the European Union by partnering with major customers to deliver innovative, eco-friendly packaging solutions.
This is a strategic, outward-facing sales role ideal for a results-driven professional with strong business development experience, industry relationships, and a passion for sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
* Identify, research, and engage new business opportunities in assigned European territories.
* Build and manage a pipeline of high-potential clients in the consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, industrial, and retail sectors.
* Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, including proposal development and contract negotiations.
* Deliver persuasive product presentations focused on environmental impact, innovation, and economic value.
* Act as a trusted sustainability advisor to customers, providing insights into regulatory trends and innovation pathways.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Operations, Legal, and Marketing.
* Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
* Contribute to market intelligence and competitive positioning strategy.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Sustainability, Packaging Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
* 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years in packaging, materials, manufacturing, or sustainability-related sectors.
* Proven ability to sell into large multinational or matrixed organizations.
* Strong understanding of the consumer goods, food, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Fluent in English; fluency in an additional language such as German, Spanish, French, Dutch, or Polish is a strong advantage.
* Experience working across international teams and regions (U.S., EU, LATAM).
* Willingness to travel within the European Union as needed.
