We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sales Manager to drive business growth in the aviation coatings sector. This is a critical role for a technically skilled sales professional with deep understanding of aviation industry, aircraft paint systems and surface treatment processes.
As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and expanding our market presence. This position requires a strong willingness to travel, often on short notice, to meet clients, attend industry events, and support projects globally.
* Acquisition of new customers as well as commercial and technical advice and support for our existing customers (including travel)
* Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with OEMs, MROs, airlines, and aviation paint shops
* Provide technical consultation to clients, advising on product performance, specifications, and application processes.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to adapt strategies accordingly
* Commercial support for technical product demonstrations to win new projects
* Development of solution-oriented coating systems in close cooperation with potential customers and our technical departments
* Conducting price and contract negotiations
* Work closely with internal R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure customer satisfaction and product suitability
* Processing complaints in close cooperation with the internal departments
* Management of customers and projects using a CRM system
* Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and activity documentation
* Attend trade shows, conferences, and customer sites – travel up to 70–80% of the time
Your Profile
* Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* Several years of professional experience in sales of products requiring explanation, ideally in the paint / chemical industry
* High technical affinity as well as solution- and result-oriented representation of customer requirements
* Above-average commitment as an “entrepreneur within the company”
* Solution- and result-oriented representation of customer requirements
* Confident handling of common MS Office applications and the use of CRM software
* Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally within the aerospace or aviation sector
* Spanish native; business fluent in English; German language skills and / or another language are a plus
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
* Comfortable with frequent international travel and flexible working hours
