We are expanding our teams in the Earth Observation space sector to support the EarthCARE space mission project.
**EartCARE is an Earth Explorer satellite **developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) in collaboration with the Japanese Space Agency (JAXA), which aims to observe the interactions between solar and terrestrial radiation with clouds and atmospheric aerosols to improve climate models.
The project is called **CARDINAL, **we focuses on the **development of scientific algorithms** to obtain the mission's radiation products and on the development of the operational software for these algorithms.

**WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?**
In our team you will participate in the CARDINAL project and you will develop tasks related to the processing of EarthCARE synthetic data, validation of the **scientific algorithms and software,** and implementation of improvements, **gaining experience in the following areas**:
- You will learn about atmospheric physics
- Programming and validation of scientific algorithms
- Linux environments with virtual machines
- Unit testing and Python
**WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?**
For this position, we are looking for engineers with a curiosity for **data processing** and environmental physics with an **interest **in:
