First Point Group is partnering with one of our clients to find a highly qualified
L3 Technical Support Engineer
with solid experience in optical transport networks, particularly on
Nokia 1830 PSS (Photonic Service Switch)
platforms.The ideal candidate will bring at least
5 years of experience
in Level 3 technical support, with a deep understanding of DWDM, GMPLS, and OTN technologies, and a proven ability to perform complex troubleshooting, performance analysis, and coordination across engineering and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Level 3 technical support for optical transport network incidents and service interruptions.Perform advanced configuration and maintenance of
Nokia 1830 PSS
platforms.Conduct alarm and fault analysis, implement corrective and preventive actions.Use
NFM-T
or similar tools for network performance monitoring and troubleshooting.Collaborate with engineering, operations, and multi-tier support teams.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in L3 technical support.Solid hands-on experience with
Nokia 1830 PSS .Deep knowledge of
DWDM, GMPLS, and OTN
technologies.Proficient in
NFM-T
or other network management platforms.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills in Spanish.English proficiency (Intermediate to Advanced Technical Level).Must currently reside in
Spain .
Preferred Certifications:
Nokia Optical Network Certification (ONC)
or equivalent.ITIL Foundation Certification
(for incident and change management).
