As a Senior Cloud Platform Back-End Engineer in the Data & AI Solutions - Engineering team within Healthcare R&D;, leverage AWS expertise to enhance a cloud-based analytics platform for drug development.
Design new features, oversee deployments, and optimize performance updates.
Implement data archival strategies and manage compliance with data regulations.
A university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven track record building and delivering secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native systems using AWS at an enterprise level.
Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
Python, SQL, and strong proficiency in an object-oriented language such as Scala, C#, or Java.
RESTful APIs and microservices on AWS;
AWS Lambda with boto3;
serverless design.
Cloud: AWS services (VPC, IAM, STS, EKS, RDS, EC2, ECS, SQS, SNS, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Secrets Manager, S3, API Gateway, Lambda, MWAA).
Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Fargate.
OOP, SOLID, data and service contracts;
code quality and documentation;
CI/CD & Automation: CI/CD pipelines, experience with Azure DevOps.
Testing: Unit and integration testing and mocking frameworks.
Security: AWS security best practices (MFA, encryption, IAM roles and policies).
Data Tools: Iceberg and Snowflake.
Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK for infrastructure automation;
Microsoft Entra ID for identity and access management.
Experience building streaming applications (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.).
Knowledge of NoSQL databases.
