Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Carrier Manager – Ocean Freight, you will:Collaborate with LLP Operations, Planning, central PCM teams, and the customer to identify and secure the most suitable, cost-effective transportation providers across countries, regions, and lanes.Take ownership of carrier account performance — track KPIs, report accurately, and support the development of effective corrective action plans when needed.Ensure regular KPI reporting to carriers and lead the carrier partnership review process.Identify and onboard new carriers to ensure capacity, cost competitiveness, and service quality.Ensure all carriers go through the LLP approval process and meet 100% of compliance requirements, including Quality, Security, Operational, and Corporate compliance, in line with contractual obligations.Monitor carrier performance against service agreements and recommend replacements if needed.Own and continuously improve the carrier strategy — short-, medium-, and long-term — aligned with procurement initiatives.RequirementsFluent English (written and spoken)Diploma or Certificate in Logistics or Freight ForwardingProven experience in Supplier/Carrier Management, including evaluation and negotiation of maritime service providersMinimum 5 years of management experience in logistics, preferably in multimodal transport (Courier, Road, Air & Sea), and freight forwardingMinimum 3 years of specific experience in Ocean Freight Forwarding, including acquisition, rate negotiation, and knowledge of market trendsExperience with Carrier Performance evaluation, including KPIs and reporting metricsStrong customer relationship management and senior account management skillsWhy choose DSC Valencia?
