At Melt Group, we are currently partnering with a leading multinational technology organization to recruit an IT Support Specialist for a key role based in Equatorial Guinea.
This position will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, availability, and continuous improvement of large-scale, mission-critical systems supporting national-level operations. The environment combines infrastructure, software platforms, and field operations across a distributed network of sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- IICS infrastructure deployments, installations, maintenance, administration and troubleshooting.
- Perform IICS new releases testing.
- Reconfigure servers, routers and switches to continuously improve High Availability features.
- Monitor and maintain servers, computer systems, networks, backup systems and all hardware.
- Reconfigure databases to maintain data retention, redundancy, security and confidentiality.
- Coordinates regularly with third parties such as manufacturers and partners.
- Manage IICS Reports, Infrastructure Documents and ongoing System Optimizations.
- Develop custom tools to help with installation, maintenance, support and reporting objectives.
- Provide IICS Training to internal staff and to the clientele (government officials).
- Provide general IT Support and consultation to all departments in the organization.
- Manage all phases of any ad-hoc IT project that may be requested by upper management.
Requirements:
- Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter to apply principles of hardware and software-related systems and computer science.
- Must have excellent reading, writing and speaking abilities in the English language; French language skills may also be required based on Field Placement; Experience with Biometric Technologies or Data Mining is a plus.
- Must be professional, responsible, proactive with a strong work ethic, and have the ability to work effectively with different personalities and staff members at all levels of an organization; must also have the ability to solve problems.
- Ability to work as part of a team using effective interpersonal skills.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in systems and infrastructure roles.
- Alternatively, 6–8 years of experience without a formal degree.
- Fluent English required; French is a plus depending on location.
