We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and event driven architectures to support the design, implementation, and operation of a scalable enterprise event streaming platform. You will build and manage GCP Pub/Sub infrastructure, support schema governance capabilities, and help deliver secure, reliable, and observable messaging services across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design, provision, and manage GCP Pub/Sub infrastructure.
Implement security, monitoring, and operational best practices.
Deliver and maintain schema registry capabilities and data contract governance.
Build scalable, auditable, and replayable event driven messaging solutions.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and platform automation.
Support observability, logging, alerting, and operational readiness.
Collaborate with engineering teams to establish event streaming standards.
Provide platform support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Maintain documentation, runbooks, and governance processes.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Hands on experience with GCP Pub/Sub.
Experience with event driven or streaming architectures.
Knowledge of schema registry and data contract management.
Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools.
Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with Kafka or other event streaming technologies.
Knowledge of API and event governance practices.
Experience operating shared enterprise platforms.
Understanding of GCP security, IAM, networking, and compliance.

Compensation
Salary Range: €70,000 – €80,000 gross per year, depending on experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.
