As Executive Director, you will lead origination, structuring, and execution of energy transition financing across Power and Renewables in Europe, shaping the platform’s growth and client franchise. You will manage senior client relationships and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver innovative financing and advisory solutions. The role combines market insight, complex deal execution, and strategic platform development within Santander CIB. You will work closely with cross-border stakeholders to advance the energy transition agenda and drive high-impact transactions.

• Lead origination and execution of financing and advisory opportunities in Power and Renewables
• Drive business development to expand the client franchise among sponsors, corporates, and institutional investors
• Maintain senior-level client relationships and act as a principal point of contact
• Structure and negotiate complex financing solutions across lending and advisory mandates
• Oversee end-to-end transaction execution, coordinating DCM, Ratings Advisory, Risk Solutions, Legal, and external partners
• Lead interactions with funding providers in advisory mandates and manage competitive processes
• Perform credit analysis and manage internal approval processes in lending transactions
• Contribute to platform strategy, sector coverage, product development and market positioning
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and development for junior team members
• Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and investor appetite in energy/infrastructure
Responsabilidades
• 10-12+ years of structured finance experience in advisory and/or lending
• Proven record of originating and executing complex renewable energy and infrastructure transactions
• Strong client relationship management and negotiation leadership
• Ability to lead deal teams and manage multiple transactions simultaneously
• International experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or related fields
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate studies would be a plus
• Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish
• Deep sector expertise in Energy and xpzdshu Infrastructure with a focus on renewables
• Advanced structuring capabilities across project finance, HoldCo, hybrid, and structured products
• Strong commercial acumen and business development mindset
• Ability to lead complex negotiations with senior stakeholders and articulate strategies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior audiences
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• High autonomy, accountability and execution discipline
