**About the position**:
The QA Automation Engineer at Abbott is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products within the Diabetes division, focusing on mobile apps. This role involves developing and optimizing manual and automated tests, conducting thorough testing processes, and collaborating with team members to enhance automation practices. The position is integral to maintaining compliance with medical industry standards while driving innovation in diabetes management technologies.
**Responsibilities**:
- Complete software testing and activities in conjunction for user stories within the Agile SDLC process
- Review System Specifications/Requirements documents, user stories and create verification test cases (based on those requirements), and execute test cases.
- Investigate and report unexpected events, issues or software bugs. Verify fixes.
- Create verification and validation test plans, test reports, trace matrices and review with relevant stakeholders (dev and quality)
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline.
- 2 years’ experience in Software Testing and/or Software Quality Assurance.
- Experience in Python and Robot framework
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Advanced English: job will require working with international teams.
**Nice-to-haves**:
- Medical Device experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in an agile development environment preferred
- Experience with embedded systems and integration testing with external systems preferred
