Product Platform Area
Our mission is to enable product crews to move faster by providing reliable, reusable, and simple internal services. We encapsulate complexity, expose clear interfaces, and build mature, long‑term building blocks.
Scope & Impact
* Core Services: APIs & systems such as Payment, Messaging, Document Processing, Pricing Engine
* Shared Platforms: Centralized services (e.g., AI Platform) adopted across areas
* Operational Tooling: Dashboards and automation that support reliability, observability, and scalability
* Foundational User Experience: Ensure quality and consistency of the UX through shared layout systems, navigation, reusable UI components
Your work will be used daily by hundreds of product builders across Alan, shaping reusable building blocks that accelerate product launches across multiple countries. By improving adoption of our services, you’ll directly impact product velocity, consistency, and member experience.

Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain internal services, APIs, and SDKs that power the product platform
* Collaborate closely with product crews across Alan and with the Architecture Group and Tech Foundation Area to ensure scalable, globally consistent systems
* Implement best practices for reliability, observability, and performance in a monorepo environment (Python/Flask, React, PostgreSQL)
* Own the lifecycle of services, from design through deployment, monitoring, and sunset
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of learning and excellence
Qualifications
* 3+ years in backend, platform, or infrastructure‑oriented engineering
* Experience designing and maintaining internal services, APIs, or SDKs
* A passion for turning complex problems into elegant solutions
* A strong sense of the "why" behind what you build, not just the "how"
* Proficiency in Python, Flask, React, PostgreSQL, and modern CI/CD workflows
* Fluency in English; French not required
