About the role
We are looking for a Senior Procurement Engineer (Electronics & Hardware) responsible for managing sourcing, purchasing, and supplier relationships, with a primary focus on electronic components, but also covering mechanical parts, enclosures, and auxiliary equipment. The role focuses on ensuring the availability of critical materials, optimizing cost, lead time, and quality, while mitigating supply risks in a highly demanding and fast-evolving technological environment. The Procurement Engineer will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Assurance, IMS, and Planning teams to align technical requirements and procurement strategies, and will contribute to supplier development, audits, cost optimization, and continuous improvement of procurement processes.
Key responsibilities
Manage end-to-end procurement of electronic components and assemblies (PCBs, CPUs, RF components, etc.).
Manage procurement of mechanical and auxiliary components (chassis, enclosures, cases, cabling, etc.).
Identify, evaluate, and develop strategic suppliers across different categories (electronics and hardware).
Negotiate prices, lead times, and supply agreements, ensuring competitiveness and reliability.
Collaborate with Engineering in component selection, obsolescence management, and alternative sourcing.
Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Anticipate and mitigate supply chain risks (shortages, long lead times, single sourcing).
Manage procurement activities through the ERP system, ensuring data accuracy and traceability.
Coordinate with Planning and Production to ensure material availability aligned with demand.
Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and long-term procurement strategies.
Requirements
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering or similar (Master's degree is a plus).
Minimum 4–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in electronic components, with exposure to mechanical or industrial parts.
Strong knowledge of electronic components market (semiconductors, RF, PCB, etc.).
Experience purchasing mechanical components or industrial hardware (chassis, machined parts, enclosures, etc.).
Proven experience working with international suppliers and conducting negotiations.
English level C1 or equivalent (required for international negotiations).
Availability to travel occasionally.
Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high‐demand environment.
