About The Role
As a Software Engineer you will form part of the Digital Training Tools group that develops digital tools for delivery of specialized training material to safety-critical workers. Your role is crucial to help us improve the products we develop, with a focus on back-end development.
You will report to the Digital Training Tool Manager and be located at the Madrid or Hospitalet de L'Infant offices. This is a full-time hybrid position with a mix of 50% on-site and 50% remote days that may be set at your discretion.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and maintenance of back-end web applications for digital training tools.
Develop high-quality, long-term code for our applications.
Work in a team-first environment, sharing work and helping other colleagues (pair‐and mob‐programming).
Follow processes to ensure market alignment, quality and safety; participate in frequent conversations with stakeholders and team members.
Assist support and help‐desk teams to identify and diagnose issues, and provide solutions and options to users and customers.
Take part in international projects with partners, colleagues and users from different countries.
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering or a technical discipline.
2+ years of experience in software development for web applications.
Experience with technologies such as Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, MongoDB (production), Vue.js, Angular, PHP/Laravel, MySQL, SQL Server, PHP/Twig, Java, AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, LLM/RAG Technology (Azure OpenAI / AI Search), Scrum framework.
Understanding of clean code, SOLID principles, continuous delivery, and passion for learning and improving programming skills.
Fluent in Spanish and English.
