Critical infrastructure mechanical engineer, mechanical field engineering

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead life-cycle support for AWS Data Centers, from design inception through upgrades and maintenance. You’ll act as the regional engineering resource, driving RCA/CA documentation and field-led improvements. You will own conceptual designs for upgrades that boost capacity, availability and efficiency, while collaborating with operations, design, and safety teams. This position offers exposure to hyper-scale projects and a mix of office and field work, with opportunities to influence global data center standards.Compensaciones / Beneficios
- Troubleshoot and conduct RCA/CA documentation for site/equipment failures
- Provide ad-hoc training and review critical operating procedures
- Own conceptual design for data center upgrades to improve capacity, availability, efficiency, and sustainability
- Coordinate with data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, EHS to promote standards
- Develop innovative solutions for AWS data centers
- Manage concurrent projects across regions
- Initiate and lead engineering audits with on-site visits and risk reports
- Act as resident engineer during new construction projects, supporting construction, commissioning, and turnoverResponsabilidades
- Experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers
- Knowledge of HVAC systems
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent field
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for the region (preferred)
- Knowledge of commercial or industrial power or mechanical systems (preferred)
