Provide legal services and support for European countries including Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Netherlands, and the BEMEA legal team. The role combines commercial and industrial legal areas. Regular contact with all levels of the business is essential, especially with management teams to understand their strategies, challenges, opportunities, key customers, competitors, and suppliers.Main Accountabilities:
Management:
Manage relevant legal team members within the region, depending on the applicant.Commercial Documentation:
Draft and review commercial contracts used in Bunge’s business.Corporate:
Manage all legal requirements for corporate entities within the country.Disputes:
Provide pre-litigation legal advice, assist in resolving disputes, and negotiate settlements to minimize risks.Litigation Case Management:
Handle arbitration and litigation cases, instruct external counsel for complex cases, and evaluate case merits to determine defense strategies.Transactional Work:
Support business transactions such as M&A, JVs, and other deals.Compliance:
Work with the compliance department to ensure lawful and policy-compliant business operations.Business Relationship:
Develop partnerships with the business by understanding industry dynamics and proactively addressing issues and opportunities.Legal Support Technology:
Support the implementation of legal technology solutions like Docusign and trackers.Representation:
Represent the organization before authorities and quasi-judicial agencies.Legal Advice and Legislation:
Stay informed about legislative changes affecting the company and its affiliates.Candidate Profile:
10+ years of experience in an international law firm or as in-house counsel in a multinational, specializing in corporate, commercial, regulatory, industrial operations, M&A, JVs, and agreements.Proactive, inquisitive, and anticipatory approach to support business needs.Senior business partner comfortable with autonomy and collaboration.Adaptable to an international environment.Skills and Background:
