Job Description
Scopely is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our People Analytics team in Barcelona on a hybrid / remote basis OR hybrid basis working 1-2 days a week from the hub.

In this role, you will focus on delivering analytics that align with our business objectives and address key organizational challenges. Your role will involve enhancing People analytics through sophisticated reporting, dashboard development, and complex data manipulation, driving actionable solutions to improve workforce effectiveness and foster a data-driven culture.
We prioritize transparency, simplicity in conveying complex data, and strict adherence to data privacy, aiming to empower leaders with insights for informed decisions on talent and organizational development. Ideal candidates should possess strong analytical skills, a talent for problem-solving in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to ethical data use.
What You Will Do
* Serve as a strategic consultant for people analytics, working closely with stakeholders to address complex challenges in the talent and HR space through data-led decision-making.
* Utilize Python and SQL for advanced data analytics and manipulation.
* Perform both predictive and descriptive analytics to solve people-related business problems, informing senior leadership of potential impacts.
* Develop and publish comprehensive workforce-related reports that include key performance metrics, trends, and patterns affecting employee performance, engagement, and retention.
* Design and maintain visual dashboards using tools like Looker to convey complex data in an easily digestible format.
* Measure and report on the impact, progress, and effectiveness of change management and business readiness initiatives through data-driven storytelling.
* Facilitate workshops or training sessions to build analytics capabilities within the team.
* Contribute to the development and refinement of People Team strategies, products, and services based on stakeholder feedback.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, IT, and other key departments to align data analytics with broader business objectives.
What We’re Looking For
1. 5+ years of experience in analytics, particularly with a focus on people analytics.
2. Robust experience with SQL is essential.
3. Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, specifically Python.
4. Demonstrated ability with data visualization tools and a strong capability for data storytelling, particularly with Looker.
5. Full professional fluency in English.
6. This role seeks a candidate who excels in technical skills and possesses a keen insight into data-driven storytelling.
Bonus Points
7. Significant experience with HR Information System (HRIS) Reporting Modules such as Workday and SuccessFactors.
8. A deep understanding of Employee Experience Technology, including platforms like Qualtrics and Peakon.
9. A basic grasp of Agile methodology.
10. Educational degree / experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a comparable field.
