What You Will Do
Lead the development and refinement of global strategic plans, collaborating with key stakeholders across functions and regions to translate corporate Cell Tx vision into actionable strategies, milestones, and initiatives worldwide.
Drive alignment of strategic priorities across functions and geographies to ensure coherence, proper resource allocation, and maximize synergies while minimizing redundancies.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Therapeutic Area (TA) Heads, DRS leadership, and other key players within the AZ Cell Tx environment.
Drive organizational change initiatives to support implementation of strategic priorities within the Cell Tx platform.
Develop and manage change‐management strategies across DRS to communicate, implement, and manage adoption for successful execution.
Maintain an entrepreneurial mindset, routinely predicting, identifying, generating, and evaluating alternatives to barriers in the business to keep the portfolio progressing to plan.
Drive fiscal prudence while balancing operational effectiveness by pressure‐testing study budgets, minimizing spend, and crafting cost‐saving strategies, while building internal knowledge on clinical‐trial delivery.
Lead cross‐functional and global business‐excellence initiatives to streamline or develop processes, speed execution, and remove barriers across DRS.
Ensure all approaches comply with legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
What You Will Need to Have
A degree in a science‐related field or business administration with a proven track record in pharma, biotech, or CROs (Ph.D., MSc, MBA, BSc). Experience with advanced therapies or complex clinical platforms is preferred.
Experience with cell‐therapy development or platform management is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of managerial experience in Business Management, Alliance, Business Operations, or related roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
Demonstrated experience operating across global, cross‐matrix environments.
Experience managing multiple projects, delivering high‐quality results in fast‐paced, time‐sensitive settings.
Strong analytical skills to synthesize complex information and derive actionable insights.
Excellent leadership and influencing skills, with experience leading cross‐functional teams and driving change in dynamic environments.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, conveying complex ideas to diverse audiences.
Strategic thinker with a results‐oriented mindset and passion for driving innovation and growth.
