This role is critical for ensuring the company's financial stability, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth, including compliance with regulations and the accuracy of financial information, and directing accounting operations. The role will have a dotted line to the Group Chief Commercial Officer and Finance Director Iberia.Main responsibilitiesAs the aviation sector is highly regulated, safety and compliance are the highest priorities. The Finance R&D Manager is expected to exemplify integrity and high ethical standards.Financial Planning and Budgeting:
Develop and manage R&D budgets, forecasts, and investment cases focusing on ROI and portfolio optimization. Manage income from all contracts and products providing services to operational areas, and all related expenses.Risk Management:
Assess and manage financial risks associated with R&D projects.Tax Deductions:
Identify and apply for R&D-related tax deductions to optimize the company's tax burden. Prepare and monitor procedures to monetize deductions.Financial Analysis:
Perform detailed cost-benefit analyses of R&D projects. Prepare financial analyses for new tenders (BIDs).Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all financial activities comply with tax laws and regulations.Financial Management Reporting:
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management.Audit Follow-up:
Interact with the group's accounting auditors.Personnel Supervision:
Lead and supervise the financial team, including accountants and analysts.Operate in full compliance with legislation, company policies, and group processes, ensuring accurate system bookings.Uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethics, acting as a role model.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance or similar field (preferred)At least 5 years of experience in strategic or financial rolesExperience working cross-functionally in complex, matrixed organizationsStrong understanding of R&D project lifecycles, IP strategy, and technology readiness levels (TRLs) is an advantageCore competenciesIn-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations related to R&D deductionsExcellent analytical, leadership, and communication skillsProficiency in financial management software and strong financial modeling skillsAbility to build relationships across organizational levels and navigate dynamic environmentsLeadership skills to motivate and lead the finance teamEffective communication skills for interaction with all organizational levelsStrategic planning capabilitiesKnowledge of financial technology and automation toolsAdaptability to industry and business changesWhy Avincis?Avincis has decades of experience in aerial emergency services, making us a leader in the industry.
