Job Summary
Head of Network and BOS consulting at Ericsson. The objective of Ericsson Consulting is to deliver engagements that generate value for our customers and enable greater value to Ericsson. We are looking for a highly experienced Techno‑Operational Consulting Leader to lead the NW & BOS Transformation Consulting practice and to be part of the Global Consulting Leadership Team that leads business and offerings across Ericsson.
Responsibilities
* Drive global P&L and define objectives of NW & BOS Transformation Consulting domain
* Identify, develop and manage portfolio of leading NW & BOS Transformation Consulting offerings
* Identify Consulting opportunities by working with tech professionals – Sales and Solution Architects
* Nurture and convert opportunities while contributing actively to consulting proposals
* Guide / Lead delivery of consulting projects / programs across the globe
* Engage as thought leader at CxO level
* Lead NW & BOS Transformation consulting team comprising senior members
* Manage stakeholders in Consulting communities across geographies
* Actively contribute outside your domain to reach overall business objectives
Domain Expertise
* Autonomous networks, orchestration & automation transformation
o Good understanding of the autonomous networks e2e methodology and orchestration & automation transformation approaches taken by industry leaders
o Thorough appreciation of the challenges and impacts of orchestration & automation transformation, and practical experience of transformation delivery programs
* 5G core and 5G network
o Good understanding of 5G core – specifically as related to technology evolution towards 5G, core deployment options (such as SA)
o Good understanding end‑to‑end technology evolution beyond core – especially RAN (and transport)
o Strong understanding of the business implications of 5G core and other technologies, and how 5G use cases / monetization are enabled by the technology roadmap
* Telco cloud transformation – both virtualization and cloud native
o Good knowledge of cloud transformation challenges and approaches from technology and deployment perspectives
o Practical experience of Telco cloud transformation programs and cloud operating models
o Knowledge of CI/CD / DevOps and related operational processes
o Expertise on the operational implications of moving 5G core and other network elements to virtualized or cloud native environments
* Operational transformation and operating models to support 5G evolution
o Strong competence in defining operational transformation approaches for evolution to 5G and various 5G opportunities
o Strong capability to define various aspects of operating models for 5G evolution – processes, metrics/KPIs, and high‑level OSS systems knowledge
* Strong understanding of new Agile methodologies and DevOps Workof‑Work
* OSS systems / support strategies
o Good understanding of operational trends and system approaches – orchestration solutions, automation, closed‑loop, micro‑services, analytics, policies, etc.
o Awareness of the competitor vendor landscape and relative strengths with respect to the Ericsson portfolio
* Strong knowledge and certifications of standards such as TOGAF, ITIL and standard architectures such as TMF TAM/SID etc. and ODA
* Supporting capability – Telco cloud technology
o Good understanding of Telco cloud technology trends, relevant open‑source communities, and public cloud enterprise solutions
o Good understanding of Telco cloud reference architectures
Qualifications
* 15+ years of professional experience including demonstrated ability to sell and deliver consulting projects
* Proven capability to sell and deliver Core / Technology / Operational Consulting projects with a business mindset
* Previous experience leading Consulting business, practice and teams, including P&L accountability
* Strong technical knowledge across Core, Cloud, RAN, Telco orchestration, and B/OSS transformation domains
* Sound delivery skills
o Ability to create plans to align technical strategies with business ambition
o Highly experienced in formulating strategies and defining transformation journeys
o Proven ability to excel in fact‑based storytelling with strong influencing skills
* Strong people and team leadership skill
o Strong ability to coach and enable individual development
o Proven track record of team growth and operational management
* Sound behavioural skills
o Excellent oral and written communication skills and high orientation towards innovation and learning
o Experience and ability to work in international and cross‑cultural environments, selling and delivering complex engagements in cross‑functional teams
o Results‑oriented and commercial thinking
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, and preferably a Master’s in Business
