Roka is a contemporary Japanese robatayaki restaurant, celebrated for its dynamic open-grill cooking and vibrant atmosphere. Located in the Cap Vermell Grand Hotel, along the Balearic Island's east coast, Roka Mallorca offers diners a seasonal, alfresco pop-up of lazy summer evenings, beautiful dishes, creative cocktails, and live DJs. Local ingredients are featured in Roka's signature robatayaki cuisine to create a menu that can't be experienced anywhere else.
Main Duties
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Support the senior chefs in running the sushi section, maintaining flexibility, teamwork, and efficient use of resources
* Prepare and organize your section for service, showcasing Roka's signature creativity, flair, and commitment to excellence
* Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards, consistently meeting Roka's culinary expectations
* Assist with food ordering, stock rotation, and inventory management to minimize waste and maintain freshness
* Maintain strict health, safety, and food hygiene standards at all times, following correct storage and handling procedures
* Contribute to the training and development of junior team members, sharing knowledge and supporting a positive, collaborative kitchen culture
