The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) role is a position specifically designed to meet the needs of scientific experts through a group of medical professionals with deep knowledge about specific disease states, available products, and investigational compounds (both Lilly and competitor), as well as detailed knowledge about research, regulatory and medical education. By providing relevant information and facilitating scientific exchange between industry and the scientific expert community, MSLs have the opportunity to improve patient outcomes by providing needed information that addresses important clinical and scientific questions.

Key responsibilities
* Maintain and effectively communicate deep scientific knowledge.
* Excel at customer engagement and support medical/scientific information needs of scientific experts. Provide deep and advanced disease state and product information.
* Connect with internal partners as appropriate and identify possible collaborative research or external collaborations.
* Synthesize complex data and effectively communicate meaningful clinical insights and unanswered customer questions they receive.
* Develop internal networks and collaborate effectively across functions with an active contribution to medical planning and strategy in the affiliate.
* The MSL will execute the role in a compliant manner, adhering to all internal and external requirements and procedures.
* Implements a strategic territory plan that is aligned to Lilly’s priorities while leveraging a deep knowledge of customers to prioritize their needs and preferences.
* Prioritizes customer-facing time and aligns with customer expectations. Incorporates Lilly strategic vision and evolving customer needs into future plans. Responsible steward of company resources.
* Delivers thoroughly optimized solutions to complex problems via methodical root cause analysis.
Requirements

Master or Bachelor level degree in health sciences and PhD level degree ideally in Diabetes and/or Obesity.

At least 1 year of medical affairs or MSL experience.

Communication, interpersonal, organizational.

Residence in Alicante or Murcia.

Willing to travel up to 80% of time.

Knowledge/Experience in Diabetes and/or Obesity will be valued.

Highly motivated and capable of comprehending large amounts of scientific content, which is then communicated clearly.

Strong interpersonal skills, including capability to engage in professional relationship building and networking.

Demonstrated success in self-managing priorities and multi-tasking projects.

Ability to work effectively and share information within a team environment.
