 
        
        Main missions 
The Process Engineer is responsible for leading industrial projects focused on improving and optimizing production processes such as: 
- Esterification 
- Hydrolysis 
- Powder-liquid mixing 
- Atomization 
- Extrusion 
He/she ensures safety, quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with applicable regulations. The Process Engineer promotes the use of innovative technologies and methodologies and fosters close collaboration among all departments involved in industrial projects. 
Tasks and responsibilities 
- Ensure process compliance with procedures, specifications, standards, and Spanish and international regulations. 
- Lead and coordinate the basic design of industrial projects. 
- Develop mass and energy balances, process flow diagrams (PFD), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID;). 
- Design and size process equipment (valves, PSVs, lines, instruments, etc.) and perform hydraulic studies. 
- Supervise process activities conducted by external engineering firms or less experienced internal staff. 
- Develop and update process procedures and specifications. 
- Standardize workflows and document process methodologies. 
- Identify improvement opportunities and perform feasibility studies for process optimization. 
- Provide technical training to production staff on internal processes. 
- Supervise, review, and optimize processes during design and production phases. 
- Perform process calculations and ensure compliance with quality standards. 
- Support other technical disciplines and mentor junior engineers. 
Profile required 
Education: Master’s degree in Industrial, Chemical, or Process Engineering. 
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar position, ideally in the chemical or process industry. 
Technical skills: 
- Expertise in mass and energy balances, PFD, P&ID;, equipment design, and hydraulic studies. 
- Knowledge of Spanish and international standards (UNE, RD 809/2021 Pressure Equipment, RD 656/2017 APQ, RD 681/2003 ATEX, ASME, API, ISO). 
- Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD. 
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing highly valued. 
- PMP, PMI, or Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus. 
- SAP knowledge is desirable. 
Languages: Spanish and English required; French is an asset.
