About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior profile or an accounting professional seeking to develop their skills in a multinational and IFRS-driven environment.
You will support daily accounting operations and contribute to monthly and annual closing activities, working closely with controllers and teams in France, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the Accounting team, your responsibilities will include:
•Monitoring MED files for French entities, supporting the resolution of unaccounted invoices and following up on payments to clear open accounting items in the files
•Updating the Chart of Accounts (group account METIS), contributing to Tax Package / Tax Proof processes
•Assisting in the preparation of annual statutory accounts and legal reports (France, Belgium, Luxembourg)
•Performing payroll account reconciliations (FR/BE/LU) and supporting balance sheet accuracy
•Supporting IFRS 16 contract accounting in coordination with controllers
•Performing AR/GL and AP/GL reconciliations and ensuring consistency between sub-ledgers and the general ledger
•Reconciling and justifying balance sheet accounts (e.g. payroll liabilities, social charges, benefits)
•Assisting with regulatory and tax declarations (8th Directive, DEB/Intrastat, DAS 2 – France)
•Supporting foreign VAT processes in collaboration with external providers (e.g. Sovos)
•Contributing to monthly and annual reporting, surveys, and management reports
•Preparing finance purchase orders (POs)
•Participating in process improvement and service enhancement projects

Profile Sought
•University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
•First experience of 2 years in accounting, audit, or finance
•Good understanding of general accounting principles
•Comfortable with Excel; knowledge of SAP.
•Interest in international accounting and IFRS
•Good communication skills in English
•Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn
•Team player with a proactive mindset
