What is the job about?
The System Engineer will define on‑board systems based on customer or internal needs, capture system requirements and functions, and define implementation plans by utilizing expertise in various areas of engineering. You will work closely with design engineers to agree on design drivers and solutions that meet system requirements and be an integral part of the system design process, collaborating with various development teams.
What will you do?
* Capture and validate main system requirements derived from customer specifications or internal needs.
* Define system architecture, including a functional breakdown and allocation according to system requirements.
* Break large systems into subsystems and items that can be easily handled by individual engineers or development teams.
* Design the overall system layout and interface for system management.
* Integrate subsystems and system items to ensure the smooth functioning of the entire system.
* Collaborate with design engineers to develop and implement design concepts under customer requirements and certification standards.
* Liaise with various development teams to ensure seamless coordination during the system design process.
* Stay up‑to‑date with the latest advancements and trends in engineering and technology, and incorporate them into system design strategies.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful system integration.
What profile are we looking for?
Mandatory
* Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or a related discipline (Telecommunications, Electrical, or Industrial).
* Systems engineering knowledge (standards, requirements, processes, etc.).
* At least 5 years of experience as a System Engineer, Architect or similar role.
* Strong expertise in different areas of engineering, such as electrical, mechanical, or software engineering.
* Proficiency in system design tools and software.
* Experience in behaviour modelling with MATLAB/Simulink.
Valuable
* Knowledge of electronics, with experience working closely with an electronic systems development team.
* Experience in Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using SysML or Capella.
* Firmware and software expertise.
* Experience in aerospace systems.
* Familiarity with INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook, including life cycle processes and activities.
* Fluent in English.
