RESPONSIBILITIES
* Perform tasks within the Buschbeck lab focused on studying blood diseases.
* Support the lab manager and other group members in multiple research projects.
* Implement experimental methods in molecular biology, biochemistry and genomics (ATAC‑seq, RNA‑seq, etc.).
* Execute in vitro assays using both established cell lines and primary cells.
* Utilize specialized analytical systems, including flow cytometry.
* Conduct procedures with experimental animals following ethical and institutional guidelines.
* Support the maintenance of experimental mouse colonies and mouse‑experimental related operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Degree (BSc/MSc level) in Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or a related discipline; or a professional degree as a laboratory technician.
* Great interest and motivation for biomedical research.
* Accredited training (FELASA or equivalent) for working with laboratory animals, and at least two years of experience in mouse experimentation.
* Experience in tissue culture (cell lines and primary cells), and molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.
* Fluent English.
* Experience in basic computer tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
* Pro‑active, responsible and well‑organized person.
* Attitude to learn and work independently.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with other team members.
