What’s the job?
As a Reservations & Revenue Agent, you will be responsible for handling all reservation-related inquiries while supporting revenue optimization strategies. You will ensure a seamless booking experience, maximize conversion, and deliver exceptional service aligned with InterContinental brand standards.
You will act as a key link between Sales, Revenue, and Operations, contributing to both guest satisfaction and business performance.
Your Day-to-Day
* Deliver an outstanding and personalized reservations service, anticipating guest needs and exceeding expectations.
* Handle all reservation requests, modifications, cancellations, and special requirements across all channels (phone, email, systems).
* Maximize revenue through effective upselling, cross-selling, and conversion of inquiries into confirmed bookings.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date reservation data, including rates, availability, guest details, and market segmentation.
* Support Revenue Management in pricing strategies, reporting, forecasting, and budget preparation.
* Ensure rate parity and optimal distribution across all channels (OTA, GDS, direct channels).
* Monitor availability, overbookings, waitlists, and group inventory, especially during high occupancy periods.
* Collaborate closely with Sales on key accounts, corporate rates (LNR/KNR), and business opportunities.
* Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (CRO, tour operators, corporate clients).
* Stay updated on hotel products, services, promotions, and packages to drive sales performance.
* Analyze competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities.
* Support Finance with any billing or commission-related queries (e.G. Loyalty programs).
* Promote teamwork and smooth communication with all departments to enhance the guest journey.
* Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring all interactions reflect InterContinental service standards.
* Support ad hoc operational needs and contribute to a positive team environment.
What We Need From You
* Previous experience in Reservations, Revenue, or Front Office within a hotel environment.
* Understanding of revenue management principles and distribution channels.
* Experience with Opera, CRS, GDS, or similar systems is highly valuable.
* Fluent in English and Spanish;
additional languages are a plus.
* Strong commercial mindset with a focus on sales and conversion.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Proactive, team-oriented, and guest-focused attitude.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
