Senior Software Development Engineer
Summary
Amadeus is looking for a Software Developer to join the Agile Release Train “Orion Train”, a strategic initiative focused on building a new issuing platform that enables travel agencies to generate virtual credit cards to pay their providers. In this role, you will design, develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-native applications based on microservices architecture on an open platform. You will be part of a Scrum team located in Madrid and will have the opportunity to contribute from the early stages of a large, high-impact project within Outpayce.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native microservices that support the virtual credit card issuing platform.
* Contribute to the architecture and delivery of key platform components and new product features.
* Troubleshoot and resolve defects to ensure product quality and system reliability.
* Monitor and optimize application performance and maintain technical documentation.
* Collaborate with Product Management, Business Analysts, QA, and Operations to deliver high-quality solutions.
* Work closely with other development teams to coordinate cross-team development activities.
About the Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Around 5+ years of experience in software development.
* Strong programming skills in Java and good understanding of object-oriented design.
* Experience with cloud-native technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or microservices architectures.
* Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum required; SAFe is a plus).
* Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
