The Regional Key Account Manager for Madrid area will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Affinity's commercial strategy for clients in the region. You will be responsible for managing key accounts, building solid and long-term relationships to exploit the full development potential of the Petfood category, maximizing the sales of our brands.
We are looking for someone with experience in key account management, with drive and energy to exceed set objectives while acting as a Category Captain, leading the development of the Petfood category. This role requires strategic vision with strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships, a growth mindset, an entrepreneurial spirit, and ownership.
What you will do
* Develop and execute account plans for each key client, aligned with the company's overall objectives.
* Negotiate commercial agreements, sales conditions, promotions, and marketing plans with key accounts, seeking mutual benefit and profitability.
* Continuously monitor commercial KPIs (sell-in/sell-out, market share, assortment share, shelf space, promotional intensity, etc.) and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Full P&L management of clients.
* Act as a partner to clients to develop the category: Category Management, Perfect Store, JBPs.
* Establish and maintain solid and trusting relationships with key contacts within assigned accounts (buyers, category managers, marketing, etc.).
* Identify and explore new business opportunities within existing accounts to increase product penetration and the range offered.
* Present new products, innovations, and commercial strategies to key accounts persuasively, generating incremental sales and adding value to the category.
* Collaborate with the Marketing and Trade Marketing departments in the creation and implementation of promotional plans and point-of-sale activities adapted to each account.
* Develop sales forecasts for key accounts and monitor their fulfillment.
* Work closely with the Trade Marketing, Field, Logistics, Finance, and Customer Service departments to ensure the correct execution of account plans and customer satisfaction.
* Effectively communicate the needs and demands of key accounts to the rest of the organization.
What We Are Looking For
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or similar. Postgraduate studies or a Master's degree in related areas will be valued.
* Experience: Proven experience in key account management in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector, as well as a commercial background in Trade Marketing and Field areas. Ideally between 3 and 5 years in equivalent positions.
* Residence: Highly valued in Madrid/Central Region. Open to people in Barcelona or other locations.
* Knowledge :
o Solid understanding of the FMCG channel in Spain.
o Experience in negotiating with large accounts and managing complex commercial agreements.
o Knowledge of Trade Marketing strategies and point-of-sale management.
o Understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) in the sector.
o Advanced proficiency in office automation tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
