We are looking for a CNS Service Development Engineer who will support Service Development activities on the ongoing CNS (Communication, Navigation Surveillance) contracts and/or space-based projects (i.e., Satellite Communications/Iris, Surveillance/Eurialo, and others linked to CNS). For these activities, we are looking for someone with at least 3 years' experience in the aviation sector OR 2 years of experience in a field relevant to CNS.
Your Main Responsibilities/activities Will Be
Support for the contracts and working agreement, annual strategy definition, and follow-up based on the company decision,
Support to the Iris Service Contracts and working agreements with relevant entities, management, and maintenance‐related activities, including:
Iris Contracts and Working Agreements management procedure, update & tracking,
Iris Contracts and Working Agreements improvement process and related actions,
Technical support in the Iris billing scheme definition, deployment, and execution.
Support for the technical assessments:
New CNS service provision schemes (e.g., Datalink, Surveillance, others),
State of the art for CNS activities based on different technologies (SATCOM/Iris ESA Program, VHF DataLink Mode 2 (VDLm2), Surveillance/Eurialo ESA Program, Navigation/EGNOS program),
Regulatory and standardization assessment,
As part of the Service Development: contributions to the CNS business plan, related activities, and ESSP consulting activities.
Preparation of ESSP participation to key supporting cells/standardisation bodies (workshops, taskforces, etc.) within the relevant civil aviation organizations and actions tracking & follow-up.
Profile
Service Development oriented
Knowledge of the aviation sector and European regulation (such as, but not limited to, Single European Sky (SES) regulatory framework and EASA regulation) as well as applicable standards (ICAO, EUROCAE, RTCA, ARINC...)
Understanding of satellite‐based CNS technologies (Iris/Communication, Aireon/Surveillance, SBAS/Navigation)
Relevant knowledge of EGNOS and GNSS in general
Background in key relevant CNS fora (Eurocontrol, Eurocae, SESAR, others)
Good communication and negotiation skills
Good capacity for analysis and synthesis
Team player spirit
Spanish (desirable)
Ability to assume responsibilities
Proactiveness
Good English Level (B2) - CECRL
3 years of experience minimum in the Aviation sector or 2 years of experience in a field relevant to Communication, Navigation, Surveillance services and applications.
