EduTalent Group are hiring for a Teacher of English to join a high achieving Senior School in Madrid from September 2026. The school follows the British National Curriculum and has an outstanding academic reputation, with students consistently achieving exceptional IGCSE and A Level results before progressing to leading universities across the UK, US, Spain and Europe, including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, LSE, Harvard and Columbia.

The successful candidate will be passionate about English Literature, committed to delivering engaging and differentiated lessons, and eager to contribute to the wider co curricular life of the school. The role includes teaching IGCSE and A Level English Literature, as well as IELTS preparation for Year 12 pupils.
Requirements
• An honours degree, ideally a minimum 2:1, from a British university in English or a closely related subject
• A PGCE/QTS or recognised equivalent teaching qualification
• Previous experience teaching IGCSE and A Level English Literature
• Previous experience teaching IELTS
• Recent teaching experience within the UK preferred
• Experience within the independent sector or an international school environment desirable
• Native level English proficiency
• Strong classroom management skills with high expectations of behaviour and learning
• Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities through engaging teaching strategies
• Collaborative approach to planning, curriculum delivery and resource development
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work effectively to deadlines
• Confident use of ICT to support teaching and learning
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to contributing to department and school success
• Willingness to play an active role in the wider school community and co curricular activities
