About The Team
We are a highly productive global team consisting of customer journey advocates, lifecycle strategists, and operational programmers. Our primary objective is to connect pet parents with pet sitters and dog walkers. Beyond that, we develop strategic customer-centric go-to-market plans to engage and retain our pet parents and sitters.
The Lifecycle Marketing team is responsible for enhancing the customer messaging experience across email, mobile, and web, contributing to the overall end-to-end customer journey and experience.
Who We’re Looking For
Rover is seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Programmer to work with the team on our Care Provider Communications strategy, helping execute messaging across each lifecycle stage (Acquisition, Engagement, Retention), and deploying messages via our Email Service Provider Platform. The role involves collaborating with the lifecycle marketing team & stakeholders to define project scope, plans, and ensuring timely delivery through effective communication, risk management, and project oversight.
The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple projects, detail-oriented, a problem solver, and a strong communicator. They enjoy working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment and are eager to learn and develop marketing skills.
This role will temporarily report to the Sr. Director, Lifecycle Marketing.
Responsibilities
* Execute Care Provider Lifecycle Campaigns
* Manage end-to-end lifecycle channel production including coding, deployment, and analysis using ESPs like Iterable or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
* Develop complex, responsive HTML email templates adhering to industry best practices
* Modify and troubleshoot existing email code
* Perform quality assurance and peer reviews to ensure accuracy and compatibility
* Address technical issues related to campaigns
* Organize HTML content and assets
* Write scripts for dynamic content, personalization, and segmentation
* Create and leverage segments using data within ESP platforms
* Collaborate with analytics teams for custom segment creation
* Coordinate with localization and creative teams on campaign assets
* Monitor campaign performance and report on metrics
* Stay updated on industry features, technology, and AI advancements
* Assist in creating and managing quarterly OKRs
Required Skills
* 3+ years of Lifecycle and/or CRM experience
* Experience managing email, push, and web campaigns
* Proven track record of executing campaigns accurately and on schedule
* Experience with large ESPs (Iterable preferred)
* Customer-focused with skills in customer journey mapping
* Ability to organize, prioritize, and resolve problems efficiently
* Strategic thinking and partnership skills
* Experience in campaign tracking and analysis
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Attention to detail
* Self-motivated in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge of current lifecycle marketing trends
* College degree or equivalent experience
