Social Media Assistant & Content Creator at Drowsy
About the Company
Drowsy is looking for a full-time Social Media Assistant & Content Creator to support the day-to-day execution of our social media channels. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes social media, loves creating content, enjoys engaging with online communities, and is excited to help build one of the fastest-growing brands in the beauty sleep space. Based in Barcelona, you'll work closely with our Social Media Manager to help execute content, manage community engagement, edit videos, support creator partnerships, and keep our social channels active, organised, and growing.
About the Role
Location: Barcelona (2 days per week in-office required)
Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Responsibilities
- Community Management & Social Support
- Support daily community management across Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest
- Respond to DMs, comments, and replies in a thoughtful, warm, and on-brand way
- Help maintain an engaged and active community presence
- Escalate relevant feedback, trends, and community insights to the Social Media Manager
- Content Scheduling & Publishing
- Schedule and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and other platforms
- Ensure all content is uploaded correctly, on time, and aligned with content calendars
- Maintain organisation across social calendars, asset folders, and publishing workflows
- Support with platform optimisation, captions, tagging, and formatting
- Content Editing & Execution
- Edit short-form video content for Reels, TikTok, Stories, and Pinterest using tools such as CapCut and native platform apps
- Turn raw footage and creative direction into polished social-first content
- Resize, adapt, and repurpose content across multiple platforms
- Support fast-turnaround editing needs and reactive social moments
- Instagram Stories & Always-On Social
- Assist with daily Instagram Story execution
- Help translate launches, campaigns, trends, and cultural moments into engaging Story content
- Support an always-on social presence through timely publishing and reactive content
- Content & Shoot Support
- Capture social content during office moments, meetings, product launches, events, creator visits, and team activities
- Film day-to-day moments using a video camera to document the growth of the brand and create ongoing "Drowsy Episodes" content
- Identify interesting behind-the-scenes moments and proactively capture content opportunities
- Gather BTS and organic social assets for Instagram, TikTok, Stories, and future brand content
- Support content shoots with setup, filming, and asset organisation
- UGC & Creator Coordination
- Assist with UGC sourcing, follow-ups, and asset organisation
- Support creator communication and coordination
- Organise incoming content assets and maintain workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in social media, content creation, community management, or a similar role
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok
- Experience editing short-form video content
- Familiar with CapCut and social media publishing tools
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Creative, proactive, and eager to learn
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience creating vlog-style content
- Spanish speaker
- Comfortable filming and being on camera
- Strong storytelling instincts and ability to spot interesting moments worth documenting
- Experience creating behind-the-scenes, founder-led, or documentary-style content
- Experience with Pinterest
- Experience working with beauty, fashion, wellness, or lifestyle brands
- Basic Canva or design skills
- Experience working with influencers or UGC creators
Pay range and compensation package
