Key Responsibilities
* Prepares curated mise en place for each beverage service, showcasing premium selections.
* Supervises the beverage service with attention to detail, offering every guest memorable service.
* Collaborates with the culinary team to craft delightful food and wine pairings for regular menu updates.
* Coordinates with wine purveyors to stay abreast of wine trends, maintaining an an award‑winning selection.
* Spearheads special projects to elevate our position as a leader in the beverage industry.
* Actively participates in daily and monthly food and beverage meetings.
* Conducts one‑on‑one sommelier meetings to set and monitor ambitious targets and achievements.
* Creates an ambitious budget plan, recording and monitoring sales and costs records.
* Develops and delivers training programmes, enhancing our Tribe’s knowledge and expertise.
* Ensures strict compliance with all licensing laws, upholding integrity in how we work.
* Regularly inspects the quality of opened wine in all food and beverage concepts.
* Maintains and handles beverage service equipment carefully.
* Implements a stock control system, ensuring the proper use, storage, and cleaning of all equipment.

What We’re Looking For
* A minimum of 3 years of Sommelier experience in a luxury hotel environment.
* The ability to recommend appropriate wine pairings to complement the flavours on the menu.
* Sophisticated knowledge of wines, regions, grape varieties and wine‑making techniques, taking every opportunity to educate both guests and colleagues.
* Computer literacy, with a mastery of Word, Excel, and Outlook, and knowledge of Hotel PMS, specifically Opera.
* A charismatic conversationalist, engaging guests with lively discussions.
* A strong understanding of industry regulations is beneficial.
* A proactive nature and eye for detail, ensuring every aspect of the operation is curated to perfection.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, leveraging strong verbal and written skills to engage effectively with guests, peers, and stakeholders.
* Organisational and supervisory skills to lead and inspire our Tribe.
* Creative problem‑solver who takes ownership of all duties and tasks assigned.
* Exceptional skills in improving customer satisfaction and driving profitability.
* Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, in line with the rhythm of Destino Five Ibiza.
* Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English. Spanish is an advantage but not essential.
* Must hold the legal right to work in Europe, including any required visas or work permits, in full compliance with local regulations.
* Personally settled on the island with accommodation already arranged is a must.
* Brings a positive attitude that aligns with the spirit of The Pacha Group.
